Hi Everyone,
Sorry I haven 't been posting in a while. My family suffered a great loss last week when my darling Mom passed away (5/30) at 93. I'm still getting used to the world without her, and although it's a sadder place, I am so thankful and lucky that I've had my Mom this long in my life (I'm 52, she had me when she was 41). Mom had a beautiful philosophy of life; loved singing old songs from her youth, loved poetry, crossword puzzles, and Scrabble. I'm posting one of her favorite poems here. Enjoy, and Bless you, Therese
My Personal Creed
I will be true,
for there are those who trust me.
I will be pure,
for there are those who care.
I will be strong,
for there is much to suffer,
I will be brave
for there is much to dare.
I will be friend to all the friendless,
I will be giving
and forget the gift.
I will be humble
for I know my weakness
I will look up,
and laugh,
and love,
and lift.
(This is truly how my Mom, Anna, lived her life, and I am the better person for it.)
